BBS Tower: Sangaygang or the BBS tower is located North West of the Thimphu Valley. National Takin Zoo: National Takin Zoo, situated in Thimpu, it is a reserve for Takin, the national animal of Bhutan and other animals too. Kyichu Lhakhang: In the north of Paro town, Kyichu Lhakhang also known as Kyerchu Temple or Lho Kyerchu is located. In Bhutan, this temple is one of the most ancient, quiet and beautiful. By the Buddhist King Songstsen Gampo of Tibet, this temple was built and it is also considered d to be the sacred Jewel of Bhutan.
Drukgyel Dzong: The ruin of ancient Drukgyel Dzong is situated on a ridge in the upper Paro valley. It is considered the most ancient, beautiful and famous archaeological sites in Bhutan.
Rinphung Dzong: Rinphung Dzong, in Paro district, is a large dzong- Buddhist monastery and fortress. It was consecrated by Shabdrung Nawang Namgyal on the site of the smaller fort in 1645.
